Service Description
Are you a Lived Experience Practitioner (LXP)? (Mad) Academic? Student? Clinician? Service User? Carer? Come and join us - Mad Studies is for everyone :-) Mad Studies Birmingham is passionate about Mad Knowledge & Mad Literature. This month's we will have a catch up about the chapter we will be writing for the Mad Studies book edited by Dr. Toby Brandon, due to be published next year. We often consider papers that discuss the complexities of employment within the Lived Experience Professions. This month we are considering ‘Effective Peer Employment Within Multidisciplinary Organizations: Model for Best Practice’ by Louise Byrne, Helena Roennfeldt, Jessica Wolf, Ally Linfoot, Dana Foglesong, Larry Davidson, Chyrell Bellamy. The model is one that is the work of Lived Experience Academics who work within thus understand this field and issues that LXPs experience, collaborating with traditional researchers.
